Youtube Volunteer Information

Hey there!

Thank you for signing up to be a YouTube volunteer for Mutual Aim. Your contribution is essential to provide education for the children of the Mutual Aim village (M.A.V. Chad) and to generate much-needed revenue so that we can continue to efficiently manage the village. We appreciate your dedication to providing support to vulnerable children and do not take your time or contribution for granted.

Here are a few things to know about volunteering with us.

Location: All our volunteers for the YouTube channel are fully remote and will at no time require you to be at any physical location.

What it means to be a YouTube volunteer: Creating a video for the Mutual Aim YouTube channel simply means that you create a simple course (whether at a beginner or advanced level) that will be uploaded to the channel. During signup, you must let us know what topic you are looking to teach the children and let us know whether you will be creating a course or simply uploading a single video. You will then let us know how many videos will be included in the course if you so choose to create one.

What you need: All you need to be a YT creator for the organization is experience in the field you are teaching on, filming equipment like a phone and a ring light if necessary, a laptop or any other applicable device to transfer your files, and some time to film.

Editing: Do not worry too much about editing, as we will most likely re-edit all content to fit the Mutual Aim editing style. So long as you cut out the unnecessary parts and leave the actual footage of your teaching.

Turning in your videos: To turn in your videos, our Media Relations Director will discuss with each volunteer to determine the best possible way to transfer your content.

Compensation: Please note that this is not a compensated role within Mutual Aim. Agreeing to the terms of this partnership means that you have been informed and you agree that you have no claims to any revenue generated from the videos you create on behalf of the organization. Neither will they count as ‘donor-advised donations’ or ‘tax-deductible donations.’ Proceeds from your videos will be used to further the cause of the organization and other necessary things, which may include administrative fees and general staff salaries.

Please note that all forms of media sent to the organization following the signature of the form will thereafter be considered the property of the organization.
