Sarah Idonije

Logistics Specialist

Ms. Sarah is a Nigerian humanitarian, activist, and advocate for women and children's rights. She is also a spokesperson for the decolonization of African minds and the liberation of African lives. She is a strong believer in equal opportunities in education for the girl child in Africa and the world. Alongside education, she strives to bring forth the issues of gender-based violence in war-torn regions of Africa and refugee rights.

Sarah has always sought justice on behalf of those who are oppressed in her community, specifically those who do not have the platform to do so. The marginalization of the Northern people of her country, Nigeria, was the spark that started it all for her. In learning about their suffering and the desperate need for change in her country, she took to social media in 2022. With the support of her community, she continues to lead debates concerning the colonized minds of the general African population, and its adverse effects on its communities. It is her belief that the colonization of the African mind is one of the biggest factors for why many Africans are complacent in their fight for liberation.

Currently, she works with law students in Nigeria who work pro-bono to facilitate divorces for local women who are escaping violent relationships. She fundraises for such organizations and groups, bringing them to wider audiences and helping to expose them to a wider range of support and resources. On her journey to achieve her humanitarian goals, she became a member of the Mutual Aim team, assisting the organization in keeping track of its inventory and maintaining transparency with those who support our mission.
